Scholarship opportunity for California's Black Student Midwives & Recent Midwifery School Graduates
We are passing along the following Scholarship opportunity.
Applications are now open for the 2026 Bridget “Biddy” Mason Scholarship & Financial Aid Fund, sponsored by Californians for the Advancement of Midwifery and administered by the Birthland Wellness Fund. The Fund supports Black midwifery students and newly licensed midwives by reducing financial barriers along the journey from education to practice. Funding opportunities include an educational scholarship, licensing fee assistance, and practice start-up capital.
If you’re a Black midwifery student, newly graduated midwife, or newly licensed midwife committed to serving California families, we invite you to apply and help carry forward the legacy of Biddy Mason and the generations of Black midwives who came before us.
