The National College of Midwifery is taking steps towards reducing health disparities within out maternity care systems by creating a scholarship fund for aspiring midwives intending to practice in under-served communities with which they personally identify. The purpose of the scholarship fund is to create access to NCM's accredited degree programs for these aspiring midwives. This will prepare them to offer culturally sensitive, individualized midwifery care to the communities they understand best.
