Non-Degree Seeking Students
NCM currently offers 113 Midwifery and General Education credits, which can be taken as an Associate, Bachelor or as a Non-Degree Seeking student. Academics are taught by our online learning coordinators in our distance education program.
Non-degree students can take NCM classes à la carte for credit in NCM's distance education program taught by our online professors. Credit earned as a Non-Degree Student can be later transferred to NCM's ASM program (subject to current transfer credit policy). Starting in 2021, each course will be offered at $125 per credit in order to cover the cost of academic online instruction and grading.
NDS students are not allowed to complete clinicals as an NCM student; clinical apprenticeship begins when enrolled in the ASM program.
Please Note: Consider the amount of time you plan to complete academics prior to enrolling, as some courses have a time limit of 7 years at graduation: all Midwifery (MW) courses (and the General Education courses HON248G Cultural Issues, SOC102 Genetic Screening, and HON390G Midwifery Laws and Regulations) must be taken within 7 years of graduation. In addition, the Duration of Clinical Experience (from the date of the first recorded supervised clinical to the last) must span a minimum of 2 years, and NARM requires all births to be within 10 years, and births on Form 204 (out of hospital births) to be within 3.
Please note: You must be an enrolled student to access student support services, such as Plan of Completion meetings.
