Student Midwife Job posting: Seeking Student Midwife in primary/assist/observe phase to work at Bend Birth Center in Bend, Oregon.

Time frame: As soon as possible and/or another opening in February 2026

We offer free housing for a single person (not enough space for spouse or

(children). Bend Birth Center (BBC) specializes in home birth and also has a beautiful birth center for clients who wish to have their baby in a facility other than home or hospital. BBC offers complete prenatal care for low-risk clients and babies, manages birth at home or at the birth center, offers home visits at 37-weeks, 24 hours, 3 day and 7 day postpartum plus complete care for mom and baby until 6-weeks postpartum.

In the next five years, the California Nurse-Midwives Foundation aims to invest in projects that align with the following goals: 

• Goal 1: Diversify the midwifery workforce by supporting people to become midwives (with a focus on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ people) 

• Goal 2: Ensure access to high-quality, culturally concordant midwifery care through institutional and systems change 

New Beginnings Birth Center in Meridian, Idaho has availability to take on a student in any phase of training (beginner/assist or primary). We are a group practice of CPMs and a CNM, doing ~12 births per month in both the birth center and home setting. With our CNM there are also opportunities to gain experience in Women's Health (pap smears, iron infusions, hormone testing and counseling, menopause, etc.). We require a 6 month minimum time commitment and are only taking students enrolled in MEAC accredited programs at this time.
